Reason #5 - Simplify

During a recent installation I had two young technicians helping me run the hydraulic tubing. And purging the line with hydraulic oil. I explained to them that we needed to know only three thing when installing hydraulic load cells. 1) The tube must be full of oil. 2) There must not be any air in the tube and 3) there should be enough pressure to make the diaphragm gap 26 thousands. "Just like a straw" one of them said. Yes it is as simple as a drinking straw.
Simple makes troubleshooting easy.

Reason #4 - Eliminates Ground Potential Problems

Most ligtning and drifting problems associated with truck scales come from the fact that the scale has a greater potentiak for ground than most electrical supplies for bulidings. Ground potential problems increase a scale's vulnerability to lightning strikes and eratic weights. With proerly installed hydraulic scale the scale is isolated by non-conductive hydraulic hose at the junction box. Hydraulic oil is also nonconductive completely isolating the scale from the building's power supply.

Reason #3 -$5 wire that becomes a $1000 service call

With hydraulic scales there are no wires under the scale to be damaged by water, rakes, hoes, claw hammers, shovels, brooms, mice, rabbits, armadillos, skunks, car hoods, vandals, ice, blow torches, pressure washers, steam cleaners, dry rot and many others. All of the problems associated with housekeeping and electronic scales are eliminated with the investment of a hydraulic scale system.

Reason # 2 - Built to last

One of the things that most service companies fear is selling equipment that is so cheap that they don't last and you loose a valuable customer because of it. Some years ago Pioneer started doing business with a large chicken processing company in Arkansas and they had another brand of hydraulic scale that was less than 10 years old. The hydraulic cells were in excellent condition but the design of the scale deck was so poorly constructed that the area where the load cells were located had started to decay and rust. This eventually forced the customer to replace the scale because it would not weigh their trucks accurately. We encourage all of our customers to visit the Cardinal factory in Webb City, Mo to see first hand a scale deck being constructed upside down. It is an impressive site watching the robots welding the steel which is mounted on a giant skid or template to insure that it is welded to prescise tolerances. It is easy to see why each hydraulic scale that Cardinal manufactures will be around long after I retire and will more than likely last a generation beyond that. We also have never lost an order after a customer has seen their scale being built. Built to Last!

Reason # 1 - Lifetime Warranty on Load Cells

The Cardinal Guardian Truck Scale comes with hydraulic load cells which carry a complete lifetime warranty which is not prorated. This is unheard of in the truck scale industry. This coveres anything that can be imagined that would happen to a load cell. The load cells are constructed of stainless steel and have no wear parts that would need to be replaced as they age.
